Job Description:

Responsible for providing assistance to special education teachers; assists in the instruction, medical, and health needs of special education students; provides some clerical support; may provide assistance with a variety of daily functions such as behavior support as well as life skills instruction; implement daily and long range lessons; assists students with daily functions such as food preparation, hand over hand or tube feeding, toileting; etc. Collaborates and consults with special needs team and other specialists. Develops and promotes good community relations among various community members and school clientele.

Goat in a TutuTutu Day!

We are about to have some fun in February!  There is an opportunity twice this month to have a TuTu Day! Our first will be this upcoming Wednesday, February 2, 2022. 2/2/2022 Tutu day!  Please send your student to school in a Tutu on this day. No soon to get a Tutu in time….never fear! National Tutu Day is Tuesday, February 22, 2022. Crazy Tuesday 2/22/22! We will don our Tutu’s yet again for this day! Should be a fun way to express these unique days.

Daily Symptom Checks:

  • Staff and students still need to be mindful of a daily symptom check at home before arriving at work or school. Those with a temperature of 100.0 degrees or higher are asked to stay home.
  • Headache accompanied by sore throat, cough, or nasal drainage should be monitored.
  • Stomach Flu or Diarrhea must stay home for 24 hours from last incident.
  • Staff or students that have taken a Covid test should stay home until those results are determined. Do not come to school until you have those results.

  • Should a student or staff member begin to feel ill during the school day, they will be asked to return home.

Procedure if my student gets sick at school:

If your student should become ill at school and needs to be sent home, we will do the following:

Call parents and Email parents- they have 10 minutes to call us back.

If parents do not call back, we refer to emergency contact list.

Once a contact is reached, students need to be picked up in 30 minutes.



When can students return to school?

Any person with COVID-like symptoms should be encouraged to see a healthcare provider and consider testing.

Student or staff member has had no fever for at least 24 hours without using medicine that reduces fevers and Other symptoms have improved may return to school after 5 days with a mask for another 5 days.

Attention All 4 and 5 year olds!

It is that time of year, when we start our kindergarten registration for next school year. Do you have a child that will be age 5 on or before October 1, 2022? Here is the link to all the registration forms. Please complete the forms and return to the school as soon as you can. You can fax them, email them or drop them off in person.   Borrowed ClothesBorrowed clothes from the Health Room?

If by chance, your child came home in a different outfit one day after school sponsored by the health room. Would you please make sure you wash it and return it to the school as soon as possible. We have a very limited supply.

TIP: If all Kindergarten and 1st grade families would please put a change of clothes in your child’s backpack for emergencies (accidents) that would be very helpful.
