8. Basketball Hoop Update (Shellie Hawkins/Kimberly Adams)
a. Confirmed final budget of $26,361.32 for playground basketball hoop project and approved grant
request/intra district transfer (previously approved in March meeting - Jessi Stiasny motioned to
approve, Jenn Lewis seconded, all approved).
b. Hoops were installed over Spring Break and the students are loving them!
c. Students are able to check out balls for the hoops at recess to teach responsibility.
d. Suggested taking nets off for Summer Break.
9. Teacher Appreciation Week (Jessi Stiasny/Beka Richardson)
a. It’s Been a Wild Year (Camping Theme approved)
i. Monday - Adventure Starts with You (Room service orders and Survival kits)
1. Beka Richardson and Jessi Stiasny to do room service.

11. Raise Craze (Kimberly Adams/Jessi Stiasny)
a. Aligned on raising for support material/SEL materials for classrooms.
b. Updating the track (relevel and resurfacing) as part of fundraising was suggested.
c. Would like to implement a service night at the school and choose dates.

b. Kelsie Wilkes to create and send out Signup Genius for RSVPs.
c. Decided on 6-8 games, light snacks and lemonade.
d. Need to request High School volunteers/parents to run games.
e. Suggested a community outreach station - thank you cards to sponsors or first responders.
14. 2026-2027 Calendar and Budget Planning
a. Have started a calendar to include all events and new events.
b. Aligned to keep $12,000 in the budget for next school year.

a. Currently the district is in a growth decline and budget projection shows 325 students for 25-27
School Year.

a. Budget approval for final cost - Final budget is $26,361.32 and install will occur over Spring Break.
Board will meet on March 10 at 12:00pm with contractor.
i. Vote to approve additional $2K in Core grant money to be allocated to basketball hoops.
1. Voted to allocate $1061.32 to Basketball Hoops Project (to bring the total project
funds to $26,361.32) and $983.68 to Teacher Grants. - Jessi Stiasny motions to

10. Spring Parent Teacher Conferences
a. Need 5 volunteers to provide desserts for Tuesday, March 10 conferences.
i. Natalie Vice (x2), Nicky Quinby, Brittany Dieker, and Laura Wick will provide.
b. Committee discussed reallocation of $650 of leftover money to pay for dinner for teachers (grant

into President role.

a. Inventory Update - 95 items leftover and have begun purchases for next year.
b. Feedback - Inventory stickers were extremely helpful and need to adjust shopping experience for
next year which will include a Grandparent section.

11. Valentines VIP Breakfast
a. Volunteer list - Jessi Stiasny will setup Whatsapp.
b. Date selection - Confirmed date for 2/10 with 2/11 as back up. Will be able to begin setup in the
Gym on 2/9 at 3:20pm. Jessi Stiasny will own VIP invites.
c. Space Logistics (Chandra Baca) - Confirmed food in Cafeteria and crafts/activities in Gym. Jessi
Stiasy, Crystal Torres and Nicky Quinby volunteer to help with balloon arch and decor.
d. Food ideas - Coffee and donuts. Crystal Torres will get quotes for donuts.
12. Fall Fundraising
a. Overall positive feedback includes the kindness theme and class bingo.
b. Areas to improve includes prize days, prize consistency and foam party set up.
c. Decision made to continue Raise Craze for the 26-27 school year and Jessi Stiasny will head
meeting on 3/6 to begin outlining logistics.
d. Jessi Stiasny and Jenn Lewis will ask for teacher suggestions for prize consistency. Suggested to
require prizes based on teacher suggestions.

comes from the reserve funds for next school years leaving the reserve at $12,000. $3,300
will come from the teacher grants, leaving that budget at $5,000 total. $1,000 will come
from the Staff Appreciation Week budget, leaving that event with $5,000. The other
$15,000 will be reallocated from the unused funds from past events). A 3rd Quarterly Staff
Appreciation event was also added to the budget spreadsheet with a given budget of $300..

5. Principal Update (Mrs. Baca, Mrs. Shoultz) - Apple Bar was appreciated by the staff and teachers
are currently working on report cards.
6. SAC Update (Mrs. Baca, Mrs. Shoultz) - Changes made to the parking lot have shown
improvement in the car line and parking flow.
7. Basketball Hoop Update - Received a bid for two 10ft steel and one 7ft steel for $28K. Additional
bids are also out and a grant has been submitted. Will receive an answer for the grant in
December.

huge success. The school is also officially fully staffed as of next week.

10. Fall Fundraiser – Raise Craze Fundraiser Review- Foam party was fun and maybe next year we
need a permission slip that says if they don’t have a change of clothes they cannot participate. We

decorate and will be decorating the day of, after drop off at a house where the trailer will be
parked.

a. Spirit Wear - distribution plan for week of 9/15. Volunteer to pick up and organize- Natalie

WELCOME: What we do as the Franktown PTO (Kelsie) and Introductions. Board members, staff, and parents all introduced themselves, and Kelsie explained how PTO handles/plans, and funds the family events and votes on teachers' grant requests

  5. Principal Update (Mrs. Baca, Mrs. Shoultz) Great start to the school year, lots of happy kids in the halls and transitioning well back into learning mode. These first few weeks the focus is on essential skills, routines, organization and building relationships in the classrooms. Fully staffed at this point, still waiting on an EA4 and an EA1 to start. Discussed the parking structure change and the reasons behind it. The Promethean Boards were all installed in the classrooms and the teachers are loving them so far and learning all they can do.

  6. SAC Update (Mrs. Baca, Mrs. Shoultz) Projections for budgets are looking good and the first meeting is on 9/10/25.

  7. Chair Positions available for 25/26 school year

    1. Fundraising Coordinator - Chair Position- Natalie Vice volunteers for this position

    2. Events Coordinator - Chair Position- Jenn Lewis and Crystal Torres volunteer for this position to work together

    3. Teacher Representative- Open- should be decided next week

    1. Important Dates: Assembly 8/26 and Celebration 9/19

    2. Will be decorating the Kindness wall and hanging posters today after the meeting for anyone available and interested in helping.

    3. Additional Volunteers- sign up sheet was passed around and brief discussion about what will be taking place at the school during the fundraiser
