Dear Franktown Elementary School Families,

On behalf of the entire staff at Franktown Elementary School, I would like to extend our warmest and most heartfelt thank you to our entire school community. Our students have learned and mastered so much new content.  They have grown so much socially, physically and emotionally, and they are ready for a break.  Take time to relax and have loads of fun this summer.  Read a little, write a little, do a little math, play outside, build something, go for a hike, explore, or take an adventure. Most of all, have time together as a family! Thank you!

I wanted to provide a few pieces of information as we wrap up the 22-23 school year and prepare for the 23-24 school year:

Will we get a report card for the second semester of the 22-23 school year?

YES! Please click here to log into your account to access your child’s Progress Report (Use your Parent Portal login).

How will we know who our teacher is?

On July 10, your family will receive an email from your new teacher introducing themself and providing any necessary classroom specific information. In addition, school supply lists will be posted on our Franktown Elementary School website.

When will school start?

Our school year will start on August 7th with a Back To School Night Open House: Last Names A-G: 2-3 pm, H-N: 3-4 pm and O-Z: 4-5pm. Save this date, as this will be the time to find your new classroom and drop off your school supplies.  The first day of classes will begin on Tuesday, August 8th, and this will be a typical full day of school for grades 1-5.  If you have a kindergartener, kindergarten will have Balanced Beginnings starting August 8th,  The first full day for kindergarten will be on Friday, August 11th. You will receive additional information from Mrs. Lapp, Mrs. Sims or Mrs. Anacleto.

Lunches for the 23-24 school year

All lunches will be free for all students next year.  HOWEVER, please apply for the free and reduced lunch program if you qualify. Our school can receive a higher level of funding based on the number of families who qualify for the program.  AND…. It’s not just about free lunch since transportation fees, school fees and field trip fees may also be waived.  That is a tremendous savings.

As always, please feel free to reach out to Ms. Baca or myself if you have any thoughts or feedback: [email protected] or [email protected].
